Annual School Events

Guest Lecturers

Frequency:  First Wednesday of Every Month

A special guest lecturer will attend the Core classes. This will be an event where spiritual topics of importance to youth are discussed. Examples of guest lecturers include:

• State and Local Leaders
• Youth Leaders
• General Authorities of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

On each third Wednesday, a special community leader will address the students of the Core classes. They will discuss community issues, current events and leadership.

*All guest lecturers are reviewed and approved in advance by the local Parent Council.*

Open Houses

Frequency:  Monthly

These open houses may include a video presentation, a tour of the building, curriculum display, and refreshments.  Administrators, teachers, studentbody officers, other students, and parents will be available for questions.

Constitutional Classes

Both of the Kimber Academies —  in Lehi and in Midvale — are currently holding a series of community classes called “The Healing of America”.   This four-part series covers the history of America, the Founding Fathers and the Constitution, how Constitutional principles were abandoned, and how we as a people can actually HEAL our nation.  Dr. Kimber and other special guests present these classes.  All older youth and adults are invited.  Costs:  $59 per person, $89 per couple, $30 for additional family members.  Manuals are included in this price.  Please contact your local Academy for specific dates and times.

Test Weeks

Frequency:  Three times per year

Tests are given for 2 – 3 hours each day during the testing week in the Senior Class, and will begin right after the Devotional and Book of Mormon studies. In the Junior Classes, testing will last only one hour.

Scholarship Banquets

Academies will hold periodic banquets/presentations featuring a special speaker. The cost varies by academy and speaker. Proceeds go to a scholarship fund to assist and support our students at Kimber Academy. Past speakers include:

Parent Nights

Frequency:  Monthly

These monthly training sessions are mandatory for all parents whose children attend Kimber Academy. The meetings will be videotaped, and parents who cannot attend must watch a videotape of the session.

Spirit Week

Frequency: October and March

This is a wonderful event! This week will highlight specific themes such as Honoring Womanhood, Honoring Parents, and Supporting Priesthood Leaders. Special Programs may also include field trips to inspiring places throughout the community.

School Socials

The whole family is encouraged to be involved in the social activities organized by Kimber Academy. These are usually held around various monthly holidays. Visit the websites of our various Academies to get up-dates of all events.
